interview with John Daley

Parade Magazine/ November 21:

When asked: "Were you ever jealous of anyone in high school?"

John Daley: "I was jealous of this guy in eighth grade. I couldn't understand why he was so popular. He'd make stupid remarks, and that seemed to make people love him. I'd try that, but when I made stupid remarks, people thought, "That's a stupid remark." I always tried to change myself - clothing, hairstyle, the way I acted - to feel more accepted. But it felt realy uncomfortable, because it wasn't really me. Last spring, I decided to heck with it. This isn't worth it."

Welcome to what I refer to as the garage... a place for all those things, Freaks and Geeks-like, that belong somewhere, you know you'll use them someday, but dont really have a category... this is the coolest section, I love digging through the garage and find stuff.

Did you see the Freaks and Geeks appearance on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? They had their own float, and were even interviewed by Al Roker...way to go. Becky Ann is a real cheerleader for the show, throwing in a plug for the shows new timeslot.

The photos to the right, show cast members, Linda Cardellini, John Daley, Samm Levine, and Becky Ann Baker on the float, getting very drenched in a typical New York rain. They were great sports and really played to the crowd, showing that Freaks and Geeks rules.

Prior to this, the cast were speaking with Today show host Al Roker.
